Solo Kayak The Atlantic
After kayaking from California to Hawaii in 91 days at sea, Cyril continues his solo kayak adventures as he will paddle from the Canary Islands to Martinique starting this December 2024.
The Ocean Kayak
Working with world renowned boat specialist Rob Feloy in Devon, England, Cyril is building a specialized vessel for the crossing.
The ocean kayak has been fully customized for the specific target of crossing the mid-pacific and be self-sustainable in energy, food and water for 70 days.
He named her “Valentine”, after his sister.
“She is my nest and protection. Very trustworthy and reliable. Brand new but old fashioned. A little bit slow and round and heavy but trustworthy and steady in her progression. Safety first.
